The cross-surrounded by multi-colored jewels, reminds us of the basic truths of beginning an eternal relationship to God through Jesus Christ.
Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross was the payment for our sins. The red in the upper left corner of the logo reminds us that, “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22). We are awe struck that Christ, “who knew no sin” would pay the predetermined price for forgiveness and become the sacrifice for us.
When we discover this truth and accept Him as Savior, we will want to testify of our new-found life in Him. The blue in the upper right-hand corner of the logo speaks of our baptism, one of our first steps of obedience and testimony. When we are baptized we symbolically proclaim that we have been buried with Christ and have risen to new life.
Because we are not “saved to sit”, we want to grow in our faith. The green in the lower right corner of the logo speaks of our growth in Christ. We are to “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed accurately handling the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15. As we grow in His word, we will bear much fruit for the Kingdom of God.
Our Christian lives also have an eternal focus. The gold in the lower left corner speaks of our eternal home, Heaven. We are to be continually reminded that we are just pilgrims in this land, and so we are to lay our treasures up in Heaven, “where moth and rust do not destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal” Matthew 6:19.
